Kumpulan Wang Simpanan Pekerja
Kumpulan Wang Simpanan Pekerja, commonly known as KWSP or the Employees Provident Fund (EPF) in English, is Malaysia’s premier statutory body dedicated to ensuring the financial security of its members in their retirement years. Established under the Employees Provident Fund Act 1991, KWSP mandates both employees and their employers to contribute a portion of the employee’s salary to the fund, which is then invested in a variety of sectors to generate returns. Over the years, the EPF has played a pivotal role in the nation’s economic landscape, not only as a guardian of millions of Malaysians’ retirement savings but also as a significant institutional investor.
